Carprofen Tablet
Carprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) used to treat pain and inflammation due to arthritis and other joint diseases, including hip dysplasia. It's also used to reduce pain associated with surgery or dental procedures, as well as to reduce fever. Carprofen works by reducing hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the body. Carprofen may also be used for purposes other than those listed here. Carprofen requires a prescription from your veterinarian.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
The recommended dosage for oral administration to dogs is 2 mg/lb of body weight daily. The total daily dose may be administered as 2 mg/lb of body weight once daily or divided and administered as 1 mg/lb twice daily. For the control of postoperative pain, administer approximately 2 hours before the procedure.
Tip:
Carprofen should be given with food.
Keep plenty of water available for your pet to drink.
Carprofen is for dogs only. Do not give to cats.
Cautions:
Talk to your veterinarian or pharmacist before giving any other prescription or over-the-counter medications to your pet. Should not be given to pregnant or lactating dogs or dogs used for breeding.
Tell your veterinarian if your pet has: an allergy to aspirin or any other NSAID; an ulcer or bleeding in the stomach; liver or kidney disease; congestive heart failure; fluid retention; bleeding disorders; heart disease; high blood pressure.
